My stepdaughter is going to have our first grandchild. I want to understand what she is going through and will be dealing with in order to better support her. Thank you.

    The only things I bring for use at the hospital are: a sound machine, my pillow, some make up, and basic hygiene bag (toothpaste, tooth brush, hair brush, cream, etc.). Everything else is provided for you. You only need to bring going home clothes for you and your baby, don't worry about bringing clothes to wear there, they will probably just get icky.

    Thank you for this informative video. I’m type 2 diabetic and my midwife told me I will be induced at 36/37 weeks depending on how big baby is and if we are both healthy. Still have 4months to go but I’m kind of anxious how everything will go. 🫢🫣

    Man I wish my birth went this well. They whisked him away after my emergency c-section. Neither of us were doing great. After a few hours he was given to us and his nurse came to us. They did take him every hour back to the NICU for the first 2 days. I’m scared to have another because it was so awful.

    Hi, I had the cell free DNA testing or panorama test around week 12 and it came back negative or low risk for all genetic defects. Now I’m in week 20 and my midwife ordered me another test the mss to detect spina bifida ( she let me know ahead of time that this test also includes testing for Down syndrome, which comes back with a lot of false positives. Mine did come back as high tick for Down syndrome but I didn’t think much of it because she warned me ahead of time) one week later after getting the results, I got a call that they need to speak with me. Now I’m very worried… would you be able to tell me what you think about this…

The first few nights we had to set the timer to three 15 minute mark a few times, but less than a week later and she is asleep for 11-12 hrs in her crib at night and et have our evenings again!

    Have fun risking the consequences.... Growth retardation (your baby not growing as they should) Impaired immune function (challenges with fighting off illness or germs) Motor development delay (delayed development of bones and muscles) Impairment of cognitive development (delayed ability to think and reason) Reduction in their capacity for abstract reasoning at school age (the ability to think critically or solve problems) Can Breastfeeding Mothers Still Drink Occasionally? Newborns struggle to process alcohol. If possible, avoid drinking alcohol while breastfeeding until your baby is at least 8 weeks old. If you drink, keep these safety considerations in mind: Before you drink, breastfeed your baby first When possible, pump your milk and save it before you drink Limit your alcohol intake to one drink Wait at least 2 hours to breastfeed after you've finished drinking Drink juice or eat food while you drink Remember that if there is alcohol in your bloodstream, there will be alcohol in your breastmilk

    My 9 month old nurses to sleep and has separation anxiety. We tried following these steps (with gradual weaning from nursing and putting him in the crib awake). The first night took an hour and he slept over 8 hours in a row. The second took 40 mins with only a bit of crying. We’ll keep at it but such an improvement! Thank you!

We found out that I was pregnant when we were travelling and as soon as we got back I got bad cramp + bleeding. I share my miscarriage with my mom because I was living there for few weeks once I got back from the trip. Apart from her support, she said 1 thing that hurt me so badly... she said because I travel and walking a lot that's why I got miscarriage... and I just sob in tears

    Everyone talks about bedtime sleeping, but what about naps? Unless she's in the car seat with a drive or breastfeeding to sleep, I can't get her to sleep on naps. We are also doing montessori, so we have a floor bed set up.

    • @MM-dx7oh
      @MM-dx7oh 10 днів тому

      I follow these steps for naps too, with a shorter sleep routine (sleep sack, book, lullabies, noise machine). My baby’s also used to nursing to sleep so I nurse for a bit and stop before he falls asleep, then put him in the crib. So far it’s been working but does take a few reassurances at first.
